The Dodgeland School District is seeking an exceptional individual to teach social studies courses to our high school students for the following courses: Civics, Economics, Psychology, AP Psychology, AP US Government, and Contemporary Issues. The successful candidate will have these demonstrated skills and experience:
- Deliver high-quality social studies instruction in an engaged learning environment.
- Work closely with students, colleagues, staff members, and families.
- Develop the critical thinking skills and creative abilities of our students.
- Demonstrate a belief that ALL students can achieve high levels of learning and inspire them to "dream big".
- Be an active contributor to a positive school culture
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity level and interests of students.
- Effectively engage students in learning by using a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Assess the accomplishments and achievements of students on a regular basis, and provide progress reports for students, parents, building teams and administrators.
- Reflect upon one's practice in order to continually evaluate the effects of one's teaching choices and actions on students, parents, and others in the professional learning community, and to grow professionally.
