High School Spanish Teacher Location: Lakeshore High School, Stevensville, MI 49127

Qualifications:

• Required: Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Highly Qualified Endorsement in Spanish (FF) • Passionate student-centered high level communication skills • Motivated to achieve success with all students • Proficient in the use of technology • Understand the diversity of student learning styles and the need for differentiated learning • Ability to develop learning activities that challenge students and apply various levels of depth of knowledge • Collaborative member of Professional Learning Communities • Desire to be held accountable for student academic growth and academic results • Initiative to offer suggestions for departmental improvements • Be open to new ideas and responsibilities

Preferred:

• Successful high school teaching or student teaching experience in Secondary Spanish • Masters in Spanish or equivalent course work that certifies the teacher to provide direct credit through local community colleges • Studied/lived abroad in a Spanish speaking country
