About STMA Schools

We are a district that serves over 6700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Responsible for working with students with disabilities in meeting the academic, behavioral, and physical needs as identified in the goals, supports, or services of the IEP in either an individual or small group setting under the direction of the special education classroom teacher or bus service personnel. Maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA.

Start Date Immediate Opening

Contract 183 days

Schedule Monday-Friday 8:20-3:20, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break FTE 0.81 25.32.5 hours per week

Requirements & Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and two years of post-secondary education or successful completion of a valid and reliable formal assessment as identified by the school district or State. Ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities. Previous experience in working with students or adults with disabilities is preferred.
