ABOUT THE POSITION
OD Free Marin, part of the Public Health Division within the County of Marin's Health and Human Services Department (HHS), is looking for four high school student interns to support our work to prevent drug overdoses in Marin County. Our mission is to reverse the overdose epidemic by working with the community and developing collaborative, innovative solutions.
As a Student Intern, you will support OD Free Marin's Youth Action Team and help with community outreach, education, and youth-led projects. Interns will gain hands-on experience in public health, leadership, communication, and community engagement. This is a great opportunity for students interested in making a positive impact in their community while learning new skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
There are currently four (4) vacant high school student internship positions we are looking to fill. For these internships we are looking for a commitment of at least 5 hours a month for up to 6 months (with a possibility to extend another 6 months, making it a 12-month internship).
These internship positions require attendance at in-person events and meetings throughout the internship period.
