Position Overview
High School Teachers will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction while preparing scholars for post-secondary success through critical thinking, leadership development, and real-world application.
Key Responsibilities
Teach engaging, standards-based high school courses
Prepare scholars for college and career readiness
Use data to improve instruction and outcomes
Build strong relationships with adolescents
Maintain high expectations for behavior and achievement
Collaborate with instructional leadership and teams
Support testing, assessments, and academic interventions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Valid North Carolina Teaching License (or eligibility for licensure)
Minimum of 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience (preferred/required, based on your hiring standard)
Experience in high school grades preferred
Strong classroom management and instructional delivery skills
Demonstrated commitment to student achievement, equity, and culturally responsive teaching practices
Ability to analyze data and use it to drive instructional decisions
Strong collaboration, communication, and team engagement skills
