Description:

The Ripon Area School District is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time High School Technology Education teacher to join our team in serving students at Ripon High School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This teacher should be someone who is a positive team player, a self-starter, holds a growth mindset, and enjoys working with children as well as learning. He/she will join an excellent, collaborative team of experienced, supportive General Education teachers, Special Education teachers and Therapists, Administrators, and Interventionists.

This person will be responsible for teaching the following classes for 2026-2027:

Woodworking 2

Home Improvement

Building Construction

Energy and Transportation 1

Energy and Transportation 2

Introduction to Manufacturing and Construction

Manufacturing Processes

Manufacturing Production

Qualified candidates will hold a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction issued Technology Education Teacher license and be able to perform the following:

• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills. Effective and positive communication with students, staff, and parents.

• Highly skilled at implementing best educational practices resulting in demonstrated student achievement gains

• Ability to organize, prioritize, manage and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes

• Ability to use effective strategies in differentiating instruction

• Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for learning

• Exhibit knowledge of standards-based curriculum and instructional programs and practices for the elementary level.

• Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students, parents, teachers and administrators.

• Demonstrate effective data-based problem-solving skills.

• Implement instructional activities that contribute to a positive environment where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences aligned to portrait of a graduate

• Maintain high expectations for all students

• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students

• Collaborate with the instructional team concerning student educational needs

• Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students, support staff, and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner

• Maintains contact with mentor teachers as assigned

• Assist students and parents with technical support requests relating to the course interface and student information systems

• Uses a variety of programs and software applications, as appropriate, to complete instructional and administrative tasks

• Create content aligned with state standards and standards-based grading (project-based learning)

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals in line with the District's Board approved mission, vision, core values and guiding principles.

• Work with students, parents, and schools in a positive, proactive manner

• Provide direct consultation and guidance to students and parents on matters relating to courses, procedures, and learning strategies
