    Description

    ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a High Voltage Electrician to support our Prime NASA program at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.

    Summary/General Description of Job:Under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor, the incumbent oversees operations of maintenance and repairs on electrical systems on center including substations, manholes, street light systems, building exterior lights, generators and electrical equipment controls.

    Essential Duties & Job Functions:

    Maintains, repairs (including installation) of various HV electrical systems.Reads line diagrams and schematics for HV systems and equipment control.Performs switching of the high and low voltage distribution equipment to buildings and substations.Operates aerial lift as needed.Performs daily inspections of the Substations.Ability to read, understand and interpret technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, specifications, verbal and written instructionsResponsible for completing daily work orders documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used and hours worked on each assigned work order.Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.Complies with applicable federal, state, NASA, GSFC, and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.Follows furnished information directives; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Policies and Procedures, and contract requirements.Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.Knowledge and understanding of blueprints/floor plans.Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):Mandatory

    Journeyman skill levelHigh school graduate or equivalentU.S. Citizenship.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving Record.Ability to use: technical manuals, technical bulletins or manufacturer's specifications.The ability to accurately read: measuring devices, testing equipment and or instruments.Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.Ability to solve problems and work independently or with minimal supervision in a team oriented atmosphereAbility to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards.Familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
