  • Drive project performance by managing scope, schedule, budget, risk mitigation plans, and key project deliverables.
  • Manage and influence EPC contractors, engineering consultants, utilities, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead technical reviews of substation engineering packages, protection and control designs, equipment specifications, and construction drawings to ensure quality and constructability.
  • Review, evaluate, and provide direction on high-voltage design documentation, studies, and engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champion safe execution by ensuring compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
  • Drive accountability with contractors and suppliers by monitoring performance, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to contractual and technical requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and field assessments to evaluate progress, identify risks, and influence timely resolution of technical and construction challenges.
  • Partner with engineering and construction teams to proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies that protect schedule and budget performance.
  • Communicate project status, opportunities, challenges, and recommendations to senior leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Support procurement activities for major high-voltage equipment and materials while influencing technical and commercial decisions.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and help drive best practices across DEPCOM''s expanding substation project portfolio.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience managing high-voltage substation, transmission, interconnection, or utility infrastructure projects
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting high-voltage engineering drawings, specifications, studies, and construction deliverables
  • Knowledge of substation design, construction practices, protection and control systems, and utility interconnection requirements
  • Experience managing EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and cross-functional project stakeholders
  • Knowledge of industry standards including NESC, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI
  • Valid driver''s license
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline
  • Experience reviewing physical, protection & control, and relay design packages for high-voltage facilities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure
