Lead the Line. Elevate the Team.

Step into a frontline leadership role guiding a production team in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment at CelLink. You’ll set the pace for safety, quality, and output while coaching a talented crew and partnering with cross-functional experts to keep products moving and customers happy.

A Day in the Life

As the shift kicks off, you align priorities with upstream and downstream teams, review production records, and verify readiness: staffing, tools, materials, and standardized work instructions. Throughout the night, you’re on the floor—coaching operators, unblocking workflow issues, coordinating equipment maintenance, and ensuring every station meets safety and quality expectations. When bottlenecks appear, you dig into the root cause, drive corrective actions, and keep shipping commitments on track. You close the shift by capturing data in the manufacturing system, updating performance KPIs, and communicating clear handoffs to other shifts.

What You’ll Own

  • Department workflow oversight to ensure uninterrupted production aligned to safety standards and standardized manufacturing instructions.
  • Rapid issue resolution: investigate delays, remove constraints, and protect shipping deadlines.
  • Resource stewardship: deploy labor effectively in line with management strategy.
  • Production reporting: complete required system entries; analyze records to spot trends and opportunities.
  • People leadership: set expectations, coach for performance, deliver timely evaluations, and administer discipline/termination per company policy.
  • Equipment coordination: facilitate maintenance and repairs to sustain uptime.
  • Continuous improvement: partner with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment & Controls, and Project Management to transfer tools, processes, documentation, and training into Manufacturing.
  • Cross-shift collaboration: communicate with and assist other manufacturing shifts.
  • Quality advocacy: uphold standards and processes; lead/track root cause and corrective actions.
  • Business support: assist with budget development and electronic file maintenance.
  • Workplace care: maintain a clean, orderly area and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Cultural leadership: model CelLink values—integrity, teamwork, self-discipline, and professional competence.

Schedule & Work Setting

  • Weekend night shifts (5:45 PM to 6:00 AM) on a 4/3 AWS Shift Schedule.
  • Desk/office situated on the manufacturing floor.
  • Work schedules may include AWS, extended shifts, weekends, and additional hours as needed. Travel to other CelLink sites, vendors, or customer locations may occur.
  • Manufacturing environment with periodic exposure to high noise, moving parts, nuisance dust, and common industrial chemicals. Appropriate PPE is provided and required where applicable.
  • Regular presence on the floor with prolonged standing/walking; bending, balancing, and varied positions as needed. Lift up to 35 lbs independently or 50 lbs with assistance; visual acuity to read documents, safely operate equipment, and inspect materials.
  • PPE may include safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, and clean-room frocks. Ear plugs are recommended in high-noise areas meeting OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing setting with 3+ years leading production teams in high-volume operations.
  • Clear communicator with strong written and oral skills; excellent organization and follow-through.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven; adept at balancing strategic, business, and competing priorities.
  • Change agent with a track record of implementing improvements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Judgment, tact, and diplomacy with internal and external customers; self-motivated and adaptable.
  • Experience selecting and developing new team members; supporting process development and equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Proficiencies: Supervisory experience, GMP, machine setups for production runs, and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Tools: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
