Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician with a CDL-A to perform maintenance operations in the Savannah, GA area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

• Clean driving record is essential
• Must pass criminal background check

Required Experience:

• CDL (Class A)
• Heavy Equipment experience
• Minimum 1 year of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Roadway maintenance or construction skills
• MOT Certifications

Qualifications:

• Must have transportation to and from Company office
• Ability to take direction
• Produce quality work in an efficient manner
• Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e., criminal record, driving record, and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights, and weekends
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule: Full time; must be flexible and willing to work on-call and overtime as needed.

Salary: $25+ depending on experience.
