Highway Project Engineer, PE

Highway Project Engineer We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to grow within our Highway Department.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design team developing roadway improvements for highway-related projects
• Coordinate design elements over multiple disciplines
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee project team scheduling and progress
• Review and seal plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding as Engineer of Record
• Complete designated assignments and report progress to project managers
• Mentor, review, and check work of junior staff
• Perform field views and attend on-site and off-site meetings
• Participate in proposal development, project scoping, and project staffing projections
• Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients
• Attend professional organization meetings to build relationships and assist with business development
• Perform complex design functions
• Monitor the performance of projects, including quality, schedule, and budget
• Knowledge of construction techniques

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of direct experience in the design of transportation projects
• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required
• PE license required
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• MicroStation and InRoads or OpenRoads experience required
• Ability to perform project site visits
• PennDOT experience required #LI-TW1
