The Case Dock Laborer will supply empty cases to the plant to maintain/improve efficiency standards.
Responsibilities:
- Empty cases from the trailers while stacking the empty pallets and then washing the trailer out.
- Keep the work area neat and clean at all times during the shift.
- Clean the case washers on a daily basis to ensure the proper cleaning of cases being supplied to the plant.
- Check and document the case washer temperature.
- Check and document cleaning solution concentration at least once per shift according to the Master Sanitation schedule.
- Complete all assigned paperwork.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be organized and detail-oriented with Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, OT and varying shifts (Evenings, nights).
- Minimum age: 18
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- Must maintain a valid forklift certification issued by the company.
Physical Demand/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand/walk on your feet constantly during your shift.
- Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to constantly pull up to 270 lbs. with a pull rod while walking backward.
- Must be able to work outside and be exposed to the outside weather/temperature conditions.
- Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of your surroundings.
- Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals.
- Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach above and below the shoulder.
- Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.
