Job Title: Merchandiser Supervisor

The Merchandiser Supervisor leads and supports a team of merchandisers to ensure that Hiland Dairy products are displayed, stocked, and promoted effectively in retail accounts across the assigned territory. This role ensures merchandising standards, compliance, and strong execution while fostering safety, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
    • Provide coaching, feedback, and written communication on performance
    • Maintain accurate records of merchandising activities and territory visits
    • Schedule and assign work to ensure adequate territory coverage and efficient use of resources.
    • Ensure shelf integrity, product displays, point-of-sale (POS) materials, and in-store branding meet Hiland Dairy standards.
    • Monitor and enforce proper product rotation to maintain freshness.
    • Ensure that deliveries (if applicable), restocking, and display builds are completed on schedule.
    • Communicate with sales and distribution teams, to adapt plans based on account needs or challenges.
    • Build and maintain relationships with retail account managers, store managers,or other key decision makers
    • Resolve customer concerns or store issues professionally and promptly.
    • Negotiate space, placement, and promotional support were applicable.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and applicable Texas laws.
    • Ensure store and vehicle safety standards are met and maintained for all.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required. Degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising, retail operations, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or team-lead experience.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically able to perform duties: standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50lbs, pushing/pulling display units, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word), and experience with merchandising or route tracking tools/software preferred.
  • Job description includes essential duties, but other duties may be assigned as reasonably required.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent travel throughout assigned territory.
  • Exposure to retail environments: cold storage, refrigerated cases, backrooms.
