AMS Onshore Data Engineering Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AMS Onshore Data Engineering Lead to lead the development, support, and enhancement of enterprise data platforms. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with expertise in SQL, Databricks, PySpark, and Power BI, along with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and coordinate offshore teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support large-scale data pipelines and enterprise data solutions.

• Build, optimize, and maintain data processing solutions using Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models.

• Own production support activities, including incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement.

• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

• Lead and coordinate offshore development teams while ensuring quality, timely delivery, and adherence to best practices.

• Identify opportunities for automation, performance optimization, and operational efficiency.

• Drive end-to-end ownership of data engineering initiatives from solution design through production support.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Analytics.

• Expert-level SQL, including query optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling.

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (GCP preferred; non-Azure Databricks experience required).

• Strong experience developing scalable data solutions using PySpark.

• Advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX, dashboards, reporting, and data modeling.

• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Strong troubleshooting, production support, and root cause analysis experience.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.

• Experience working in onsite-offshore delivery models.
