NBCP Communications Systems is looking for a
skilled handyman / construction technician who is good with tools, can fix things properly, and wants to be trained into a professional
AV Installation Technician.
You do NOT need AV experience. We would rather hire someone with broad hands-on skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to figure things out.
Who We Want
Your background might be handyman work, remodeling, construction, facilities maintenance, carpentry, or another skilled trade.
We especially want someone experienced with:
- Drywall and wall repair
- Ceiling repair and modification
- Flooring repair and installation
- Carpentry and woodwork
- Mounting, drilling, cutting, anchoring, and fabrication
- General construction and finish work
- Using power tools and working from ladders
- Solving unexpected jobsite problems
If you're the person everyone calls because
you can fix almost anything, we want to talk to you.
We'll Train You in AV
You will work alongside experienced technicians while learning to:
- Install large displays, projectors, video walls, cameras, and speakers
- Build and install equipment racks
- Pull and terminate low-voltage cable
- Install structured cabling and fiber
- Install AV equipment in walls and ceilings
- Read drawings and installation plans
- Test and troubleshoot systems
- Perform professional AV installation and commissioning
Your construction skills are valuable because AV installation frequently requires us to
open, modify, repair, and professionally finish walls, floors, ceilings, millwork, and other building surfaces.

What We Require
- Approximately 40% out-of-state travel
- 2+ years of strong hands-on construction, handyman, maintenance, or trade experience
- Good mechanical ability
- Professional-quality workmanship

- Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work above ceilings
