Description
Edison Chouest Offshore is looking for a Hiring Coordinator who wants to be part of a department focused on identifying, communicating with, and hiring the mariners who keep our operation moving.
This role will support vessel recruitment across multiple positions and work as part of our Crewing and Recruitment team to help meet current and future manpower needs.
Responsibilities include:
Screening and recommending qualified applicants for vessel positions
Assisting with interviews and applicant communication
Maintaining applicant tracking and follow-up throughout the hiring process
Helping verify credentials, licenses, and required documentation before applicants move forward
Coordinating with ECO Vessel Operations to support timely hiring and placement
Supporting recruiting outreach, mariner referrals, job fairs, academy relationships, and candidate pipeline development
Maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail in a high-volume environment
Our department is growing into more than a hiring function. We are building a stronger talent pipeline through vessel recruitment, mariner outreach, academy relationships, cadet development, referral efforts, onboarding support, and data-driven workforce planning.
We are looking for someone who is:
Organized and detail-oriented
Professional in both written and verbal communication
Comfortable speaking with applicants, mariners, and internal departments
Willing to travel out of state multiple times a year
Willing and able to present in front of large groups
Able to work with urgency while maintaining accuracy
Strong with follow-up, documentation, and accountability
Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, applicant tracking systems, and other office technology
Interested in helping build long-term careers for mariners and long-term strength for the fleet
