Hiring Home Health Aide (HHA)

Preferred Care at Home of Northeast Orlando is looking for compassionate, dependable, and caring Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our team. Our caregivers provide personalized, non-medical care that helps seniors and individuals maintain their comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to clients

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:

  • Bathing and personal hygiene

  • Dressing and grooming

  • Toileting and incontinence care

  • Mobility, walking, and transfers

  • Feeding and meal assistance

• Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a safe, clean environment

• Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping or errands as needed

• Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan

• Accompany clients to appointments, activities, or outings when needed

• Observe and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor

• Follow the client's care plan and all agency policies and procedures

• Encourage independence while providing assistance and supervision when needed

• Provide respectful, dependable, and individualized care at all times

Qualifications

• Current HHA certification or other applicable caregiver credentials

• Previous caregiving or senior care experience preferred

• Must be compassionate, patient, reliable, and trustworthy

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team

• Ability to safely assist with mobility and transfers as required

• Must be able to pass required background screening and meet agency hiring requirements

• Reliable transportation is preferred/required depending on the assignment

• Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, or overnight shifts depending on client needs
