Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Minimum Commitment: 5 days per week required
  • Preferred: 6 days per week available (optional)
  • Saturdays: Required (consistent scheduling preferred)
  • Schedule: Between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (split shifts as needed)
  • Pay: $24.00 – $35.00 per hour (DOE)

Compensation Breakdown:

  • $24–$28/hr: Entry-level / non-licensed / limited experience
  • $28–$35/hr: Experienced technicians (3+ years preferred)
  • Higher compensation considered for strong surgical, dental, anesthesia, and operational leadership experience

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

  • Run anesthesia independently and monitor patients throughout procedures
  • Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures
  • Perform and assist with dental cleanings and extractions (case-dependent with DVM approval)
  • Monitor patient recovery and post-operative care
  • Perform digital radiography and assist with diagnostics
  • Provide client education on treatment plans, medications, and preventative care
  • Maintain accurate medical records

Dental Focus

  • Perform dental cleanings with efficiency and attention to detail
  • Assist with dental radiographs and extractions as directed
  • Help expand dental case capacity by supporting multiple procedures weekly

Operations & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Fully manage inventory levels, ordering, and supply tracking with oversight from clinic management
  • Handle controlled substance logs under the DEA license of the attending DVM
  • Create and manage staff scheduling to support clinic flow and patient demand
  • Support daily workflow coordination and clinic efficiency
  • Serve as a lead technician under the clinic site manager
  • Help guide and support technician assistants as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years veterinary technician experience required
  • Strong experience in anesthesia and dental procedures required
  • Must be able to run anesthesia independently
  • Experience with dental cleanings and extractions strongly preferred
  • Inventory and/or scheduling experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and detail-focused
