As a Processing Operator I, you'll support the manufacturing team by operating equipment, maintaining product standards, and documenting processes meticulously. What Youll Do
As a Processing Operator I, you will be responsible for:
- Operating and adjusting production machinery to perform changeovers, routine maintenance, and cleaning following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Guiding and coordinating team efforts to meet production goals while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
- Ensuring a smooth workflow by monitoring equipment and promptly reporting any issues to maintenance or supervisors.
- Conducting in-process quality checks and completing accurate documentation, including digital logs and deviation reports, with attention to detail.
- Collaborating with maintenance staff to troubleshoot equipment concerns and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Upholding safety and cleanliness standards to prevent accidents and promote a high-quality manufacturing environment.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications in manufacturing are a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a regulated or GMP setting.
- Ability to understand how machinery works and recognize when adjustments or troubleshooting are needed.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, taking initiative while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Basic math skills, including weight calculations and unit conversions.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and a commitment to quality and safety.
