As a Quality Control Chemist, you'll perform essential tests within the QC laboratory while maintaining strict compliance with GMP, GLP, and GDP standards. Youll work closely with experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment where precision and expertise are highly valued.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Control Chemist, you will be responsible for:
- Performing routine and advanced testing on products using QC laboratory equipment
- Utilizing physical characterization techniques and instrumentation such as HPLC, GC/FID, IR, Raman spectroscopy, wet chemistry, pH, viscosity, RI, KF titration, and rapid microbial testing
- Maintaining strict adherence to GMP, GLP, GDP, and workplace safety/housekeeping policies
- Working independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision while responding adaptively to changing project timelines
- Preparing clear, accurate written technical documentation and reports
- Collaborating with team members to support daily laboratory operations and continuous improvement projects
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelors degree in Life Sciences paired with 35 years of related experience/training (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with advanced analytical methods and laboratory instrumentation
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written communication skills and high attention to detail
- A positive, adaptable attitude with the ability to manage challenges objectively in a fast-paced setting

Location & Schedule:
This is an on-site role in Albany offering a standard 40-hour workweek (Monday Friday).
