Perform embedding and preparing slides for routine H & E and special stain procedures
Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance
Recognize troubleshooting needs for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining
Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
Position Qualifications:
Graduation from a CAHEA/NAACLS accredited school of Histotechnology and HT (ASCP) certification
1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
American Society of Clinical Pathologists certification or equivalent
Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to operate general laboratory equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of laboratory training or experience in a high volume laboratory with special stain and immunohistochemistry experience
