Histology Supervisor (1 Hour from Portland, OR)

Histology Supervisor

Location: Hayesville, Oregon

Days: Monday - Friday

Full Time/Benefit Eligible

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities:

• Perform embedding and preparing slides for routine H & E and special stain procedures
• Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance
• Recognize troubleshooting needs for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

Position Qualifications:

• Graduation from a CAHEA/NAACLS accredited school of Histotechnology and HT (ASCP) certification
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
• American Society of Clinical Pathologists certification or equivalent
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in a high volume laboratory with special stain and immunohistochemistry experience
