A growing private laboratory in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an experienced Histology Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations within a high-volume histology department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong technical leader who is passionate about quality, operational excellence, and developing laboratory staff. The successful candidate will oversee laboratory workflow, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a collaborative team environment focused on delivering accurate and timely patient results.

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the Histology Laboratory
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and turnaround times
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and applicable regulatory standards
- Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel
- Assist with quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and technical issues
- Review and maintain laboratory policies and procedures
- Coordinate staffing schedules and departmental coverage
- Support inspection readiness and accreditation requirements
- Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory leadership, and support teams
Qualifications Required
- HTL (ASCP) Certification
- Bachelor's degree in a laboratory science or related field
- Previous Histology laboratory experience
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of histology procedures, quality control, and laboratory regulations
Preferred
- CAP-accredited laboratory experience
- Experience managing high-volume histology operations
