Pay: $30-$39/hr. on W2
Job Description:
Responsibilities- Responsible for histological procedures in an accredited CAP/CLIA laboratory.
- Assistance in the gross room, accessioning, cassette and slide labeling.
- Ability to work efficiently without much supervisory direction over hours as needed.
- Prepares tissue samples for routine microscopic analysis and further complex testing.
- Maintains and operates laboratory equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of quality, safety, and compliance programs.
- Investigates documents, communicates and resolves needs, problems or complaints.
- Performs area-specific support/clinical activities.
- Train other testing personnel.
Qualifications and Experience- High School Graduate or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience in a Histopathology Laboratory preferred.
- License/Certification: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) or eligible for either certification.
