OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE: History Fellow
PAY RATE: $16.50/hour
LOCATION: St. Paul Campus, JRC
HOURS: 3-5 hours/week
JOB SUMMARY
History Fellows work with undergraduate students who are enrolled in 100-level History courses to help them successfully complete course assignments, prepare for exams, and learn strategies for writing formal and informal essays in history. In addition, History Fellows should expect to be called upon to assist faculty with small research and/or writing projects during their assigned work hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have successfully completed two 100-level survey courses in History and at least one upper-level History course before applying. At least one of the 100-level courses and the upper level course must have been taken at UST.
Well-qualified candidates are undergraduate History majors or minors who have good study habits and effective oral and written communication skills and who enjoy mentoring others in the learning process. They must also be reliable, consistently on time and present for assigned tutor hours, and able to work independently without a lot of supervision.

History Department faculty preferred The days and times of the week that you are regularly available to work during the upcoming semester
In your curriculum vitae/resume, briefly describe your previous work experience and highlight job responsibilities that you think have prepared you to be a successful History Fellow for the Department.

To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
