Histology Technician / Histotechnologist

A healthcare organization is seeking a Histology Technician or Histotechnologist to join their laboratory team on a full-time permanent basis.

Position Details:

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination

• Perform embedding, microtomy, staining, and coverslipping procedures

• Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure proper quality control procedures are followed

• Accurately document and label specimens

• Follow laboratory safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards

• Work closely with pathologists and laboratory staff to support diagnostic services

Requirements:

• ASCP certification preferred or required for many positions

• Associate degree or completion of an accredited Histology program preferred

• Previous histology laboratory experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced laboratory environment
