Histotechnologist
Job Description
This Histotechnologist position focuses on preparing high-quality microscopic slides for diagnostic interpretation in a busy clinical laboratory. You will perform embedding and microtomy, support immunohistochemistry and other histology procedures, and ensure accurate specimen handling and documentation. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot histology laboratory equipment. This opportunity is available as a 3‑month contract with the option to extend for an additional 3 months and transition into a permanent role after 6 months on contract.

Work Environment
This role is based in a clinical hospital laboratory setting, with openings available in St. Louis Park and St. Paul. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some flexibility in start and end times. You will work in a professional laboratory environment using specialized histology and pathology equipment, including instruments for embedding, microtomy, and immunohistochemistry. The work involves standing for portions of the day, handling biological specimens, and following strict laboratory safety and quality protocols. The position begins as a contract role, either for 3 months or for 6 months if extended, with the potential for conversion to a permanent position after successful completion of the contract period.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00/hr.
