Description

Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week

Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm)

Bilingual Preferred, Not Required.

As a critical member of the patient care team, the HIV Retention Nurse is responsible for providing age appropriate care to patients in his/her practice setting.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of and willingness to learn and continue with education on HIV/AIDS and commitment to working with others to improve HIV care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data relative to the patient's status
  • Ability to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to his/her specific age.
  • Ability to provide the care needed as described in the patient policies and procedures.
  • Effectively uses Electronic Medical Records
  • Demonstrates flexibility when responding to change. Assumes accountability for all actions

What you'll need:

  • Current MA RN license or completion of a formal education program in practical nursing. BSN Preferred.
  • Current state licensure/BLS Certified (with AED). Responsible for keeping certification current.
  • 1-2 years experience performed in a physician's office or community health setting.
  • Minimum one year MED/SURG experience desirable.
  • Bilingual Spanish and/or Portuguese skills preferred.
  • IV experience preferred.
