HN433 - Executive Housekeeper - West Village, NYC

Overview:

A private family seeks an experienced, highly polished Executive Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day operation and care of a luxury townhouse in the West Village. This is a long-term position for a proactive, hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining a home to the highest standards while helping manage household operations.

 

The schedule is Monday through Friday 10am-7pm with a one-hour lunch break. A Tuesday through Saturday schedule may also be considered for the right candidate.

 

The home is 7,000 sq. ft., 5 floors, and approximately 8 bathrooms/6 bedrooms. There is an elevator so no going up and down stairs (unless cleaning the stairs). They have a lot of antiques, artwork, and high-end furniture so the candidate to hire must have experience in cleaning/caring for these items. The role starts now.

Responsibilities:

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of a luxury townhouse
• Deep cleaning and detailed care of all rooms and surfaces
• Care of antiques, artwork, fine furnishings, and specialty materials
• Laundry, ironing, steaming, wardrobe organization, and garment care
• Household organization and inventory management
• Grocery shopping and household errands as needed
• Assist with pet care, including walking and feeding the family dog (7 lb. Yorkshire Terrier)
• Supervise and coordinate other housekeeping staff and vendors as needed
• Develop, implement, and maintain household cleaning schedules and operating procedures
• Ensure the property is consistently maintained at the highest standards
• Prepare the home for family use, guests, and special events

Requirements:

• Significant experience working in a high-end private residence
• Exceptional housekeeping and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience managing household staff and service providers
• Discreet, professional, and trustworthy
• Comfortable working around pets
• Ability to work independently and anticipate household needs

Salary and Benefits:

• Competitive compensation based on experience. Target range of approximately $50-$65 per hour
