Hollis Creek- Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator (Non Driver, Electrical)

Job Overview:

Job Summary**

Operate heavy civil and mechanical equipment for Primoris Renewable Energy projects, specifically focusing on electrical infrastructure and trenching operations. This role is non-driving, primarily involving on-site equipment operation and support for electrical installations.

Job Responsibilities**

* Operate excavators, trenchers, backhoes, skid steers, and other heavy equipment for trenching, excavation, and backfilling related to electrical conduit and cable installation.
* Perform daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs to supervisors.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating equipment in a construction environment.
* Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials and equipment on job sites.
* Support the electrical team with various tasks, including but not limited to, pulling cable, setting foundations, and general site preparation.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications**

* Minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating heavy civil and mechanical equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
* Proven experience with trenching and excavation for electrical infrastructure is highly preferred.
* Ability to operate various equipment types, including excavators, trenchers, backhoes, and skid steers.
* Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and practices.
* Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or schematics related to trenching and electrical installations.
* Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
