Fabricator (welder) of hollow metal doors and frames.Essential Functions
Handles hollow metal doors and frames weighing from 60 to 150 poundsPerforms fabrication on these products including:
Welding parts togetherUsing jigsaw or other power tools to cut holes in doors and framesUsing 40 pound electric grinder to smooth out welds, etc.Installing vision kits and glass in doorsUsing electric drills
Reads Work Orders and Product Templates to establish necessary fabrication to be performedOther relative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experienceForklift certification preferredMust pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic computer skillsKnowledge of architectural door materials and hardwareGood communication skillsAbility to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete formsAbility to work closely and cordially with other staff associates
Physical DemandsMust be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-25 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50+ pounds occasionally. Standing, reaching, walking.Work EnvironmentWorker is subject to frequent heavy lifting and use of welder and other power tools.
