Our client, an industry leader in optical fiber manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Hollowcore Engineer/Scientist to join their dynamic team. Job Title: Hollowcore Engineer/Scientist

Location:Boston, Massachusetts

Pay Range:$160,000 - $200,000

What's the Job?

  • Lead the development and optimization of hollow core fiber (HCF) draw processes to enhance quality, reliability, and scalability.
  • Investigate the relationship between process parameters, fiber properties, and manufacturing outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop innovative solutions to improve process uniformity, throughput, and defect reduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop equipment and techniques for process enhancement.
  • Conduct process trials, analyze data, and document procedures to support operational excellence and training initiatives.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in process development, manufacturing, or related technical environments.
  • Experience with Hollow Core Fiber (HCF) draw processes is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, experimental design, and process optimization methods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex process challenges.
