    Job Description

    Position Title: Holmen High School Special Education Assistant

    Qualifications:

    • A high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
    • Two years of higher education, an Associate Degree, or completion of a formal state or local assessment.
    • Certified and/or eligible for Wisconsin certification as a Special Education Program Aide (883) from the Department of Public Instruction.
    • Preference given to candidates with Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Certification.
    • Instructional and/or supervision experience with school-age children.
    • Experience working with students with special needs.
    • Consistency in response to children; patient and reliable.
    • Certified in First Aid and CPR within six months of hire date.

    Job Description: This position will be assisting with students with special needs (mild to severe). Responsibilities for working with students with special education needs include, but are not limited to the following: tube feeding, bathroom management, transferring students from wheelchair, supporting instruction, and behavior issues.

    Reports To: Building Principal(s)

    Terms of Employment: 7.00 hours per day on days students are present. Salary, benefits and Employment Terms per the Employee Handbook.
