 JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role of a caregiver at Golden Care is to provide high-quality, non-medical care and support services to clients, delivering care withprofessionalism, empathy,compassion, kindness,andina respectful manner. Somecaregiver duties include, but not limitedto;  

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. 
  • Providing clients with Alzheimer’s/Dementia or related behaviors (i.e., wandering, paranoia)a safe and secure environment bymonitoringtheir healthand safety, as it is a priority. 
  • Assistclientswith all their ADL’s (Activates of DailyLiving)in accordance with individualized care plans(i.e.,personal hygiene assistance—oral care, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, bathing, dressing, etc.) 
  • Light housekeeping, laundry, and organizingto maintain a clean-living environment. 
  • Mealpreparation andassist with feeding if needed. 
  • Transferring & Ambulation—provide safety, stabilityandsupportwhile client is mobile and during transfers. 
  • Transportation (i.e., appointments, grocery shopping, errands, outings, etc.) 

 REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:  

  • MUST have at least 3 months of professional experience working as a caregiver;
  • MUST be, or willing to register as a California Home Care Aide (HCA);
  • MUST be able to clear a criminal background check by the DOJ/FBI; 
  • MUSThave a current Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test(or willingness to complete one); 
  • MUSTobtain a valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle
  • MUST be 18 years of age or older;
  • MUST be able to provide 2 forms of ID such as a Driver's license, social security, Passport, and or Birth certificate; 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Follow clients’ provided plan of care, safety precautionsand procedures. 
  • Monitor, observeand reportsuspectedconcerns or change of clients' conditionor health status to a supervisor or the appropriate partiesimmediately. 
  • Communicate effectively andrespond to all forms of communication from the officein a timely manner.

  • MUST be reliable, dependable,and be on-time.  
  • MUST dress professionally. 
  • MUSTbe kind, empathetic, compassionate, respectful, have a positive attitude andgreat workethics. 
  • MUSThave a passion and the desire to help others improve their quality of life, while maintaining clients' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality. 
  • MUST be comfortable using a smartphone for basic communication and caredocumentation.
