Job Description

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our growing Homecare team. If you're passionate about helping patients regain independence in their homes, we want to hear from you!

South Shore, Nassau and Suffolk County | $47k | Homecare

What You'll Do:

• Implements the occupational therapy plan of care as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
• Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
• Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.
• Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.
• Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
• Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of New Jersey.
• Must have a minimum of 2 yrs of experience
• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications.
• Home health experience is preferred but not required - We will provide you with a mentor to help with documentation and compliance.
• Ability to travel to patients' homes within the assigned geographic territory
• Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $45,000-47,000. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company''s plan.
