We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to empower patients with kidney disease to safely and confidently perform dialysis treatments in their homes while delivering exceptional clinical support and education.

Position Summary

The Home Dialysis RN is responsible for educating, training, and supporting patients and their care partners in performing home hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. This role serves as a patient care manager, providing ongoing assessment, care coordination, clinical oversight, and individualized education to ensure successful treatment outcomes. The Home Dialysis RN collaborates closely with nephrologists, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide initial and ongoing training, education, and support for home dialysis patients and caregivers.
  • Serve as a primary patient care manager, coordinating care and monitoring patient progress.
  • Prepare, operate, and troubleshoot dialysis equipment as needed.
  • Travel to patient homes and dialysis facilities within the scheduled workday.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment and participate in quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or an approved compact state.
  • Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.

Preferred

  • Experience in chronic, acute, and/or home dialysis settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care and education.
  • Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
