If you’ve got a keen eye for design and always have your finger on the pulse of industry trends, then we want to hear from you. Skandinavia Contemporary Interiors has an immediate opening for a full-time home furnishing sales/interior designer who is outgoing, enthusiastic and have a passion for design and quality - helping our customers create the perfect feel and atmosphere in their homes while maintaining high customer service standards at our South Austin location.
Requirements:- Take a consultative selling approach to building customer relationships as you help prospective buyer's select home furnishing pieces that best suit their needs.
- Provide design services in showroom for furniture, accessories and rug selection including finish, color customization and style options.
- Proven sales record.
- Generate sales as a result of in-store and in-home consultations.
- Develop and maintain expert product knowledge on all of our merchandise.
- Demonstrate design skills, professional communication, and follow-up skills.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and patience backed by an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Maintain the appearance of the store at all times.
- Attend and participate in weekly store meetings and individual meetings.
- Develop expert knowledge of our procedures and computer systems.
- Must have excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and as a team.
- Collaborate on posts for social media.
Skills/Talents Required:Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; HS Diploma required.
- Minimum 2 years of proven retail sales/customer service –furniture experience and background in interior design strongly preferred.
- High-end apparel and luxury retail sales experience considered.
- Exceptional sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to work well in a team concept and on your own.
- Optimistic, outgoing and an energetic personality.
First Year Performing Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00
