Position Overview:

Hope Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused individuals to provide essential in-home support for clients throughout Staten Island. Home Health Aides (HHA) and Personal Care Assistants (PCA) assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, and companionship while helping them remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers also monitor client wellbeing, communicate with healthcare teams and family members, and maintain accurate documentation while following established care plans.

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Provide personal care assistance, including showers, bed baths, and assistance with commodes, bedpans, urinals, and ostomy-related care needs.
  • Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and provide medication reminders according to care plans.
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or wellbeing to nurses, supervisors, or family members.
  • Support client safety through mobility assistance, fall prevention, safe transfers, and the use of assistive devices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment through light housekeeping and laundry assistance.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in conversation and daily activities.
  • Document care provided and follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and communication procedures.
Requirements:
  • Must be a certified Home Health Aide and have your valid, active certificate.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy toward clients.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans.
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Respect for client privacy, dignity, and cultural differences.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with nurses, supervisors, and family members.
  • Documents to establish both identity and employment authorization are required.

Pay Range: USD $17.97 - USD $17.97 /Hr.
