Job Summary and Qualifications The Business Office Associate serves as a critical member of the Operations function. The colleague will provide agency-related support. The Business Office Associate works collaboratively with others to accomplish all assigned duties. The colleague is a key administrative member, organizing various aspects of office administration duties, such as provisioning online system access, completing billing entry, and other general clerical tasks that are required to maintain an organized and functional Home Health office. Duties also include projects as assigned by department managers. Essential Functions 1. Identify, triage, and complete agency and personnel issues that arise concerning safety, security, and emergencies. 2. Responsible for billing entry, payroll entry, proper filing of payroll and billing documentation according to Home Health office policies and procedures, and ensuring the accuracy of data entry in accordance with daily and weekly reconciliation procedures. 3. Conducts or assists with special projects as requested by Home Health leadership and or in support of Human Resources. 4. Maintains employee personnel files. 5. Assist in onboarding new staff to include system provisioning and equipment requests. 6. Assists and or refers colleagues with regard to general policy or benefit-related matters. 7. Partners with department coordinators and managers in preparing for state surveys or other regulatory processes. 8. Ensures complete and correct billing information is provided to the financial department. 9. Completes all necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner. 10. Assists with and participates in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program as required. 11. Maintains positive relationships and rapport with colleagues, management, and the clients/patients we serve. 12. Maintains the confidentiality of all patient and or colleague personnel information. Adheres to established confidentiality standards as required by HCA and HIPAA concerning personnel and patient information. 13. Complies with all state and local laws and regulations. Assists in assuring the highest standard of ethical practice. Complies with all Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional. Adheres to communication and accountability guidelines established by the local and regional administration. 14. Other duties as assigned include cross-training in the functions of Scheduling, Intake, and Customer Service.
