    Description

    Job Summary

    The Lab Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the scheduling, collection, processing, and reporting of laboratory tests for patients receiving in-home care. This role serves as the primary liaison between in-home nursing staff, patients, physician offices, and external laboratory vendors to ensure laboratory services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and schedule in-home laboratory services, including blood draws.
    • Monitor laboratory orders to ensure timely specimen collection, processing, and reporting.
    • Communicate with in-home nursing staff, patients, physician offices, and laboratory vendors regarding scheduling, test status, and results.
    • Track outstanding laboratory orders and follow up to ensure completion.
    • Ensure laboratory documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timeframes.
    • Maintain organized records while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
    • Assist with additional administrative and patient care coordination duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
    • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and confidential patient records.
    • Proficiency with standard computer applications and electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
    • 1–2 years of clinical laboratory, healthcare coordination, or related experience.
    • Home health experience is a plus but not required.

    Schedule

    • Full-time
    • Monday–Friday
    • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

    Compensation

    • Pay: $21.00–$25.00 per hour
