Hourly Pay: $30 - $35 / hr

Maxim Healthcare in Reno, NV is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse to work with our medically fragile adult/pediatric patients in the Northern Nevada area on weekend days. The shifts may range from approximately 8 - 12 hours/day with a minimum of committed Saturdays and Sundays (additional days may be requested) depending on patient and nurse availability.

Our serviced patients may be g-tube, complex meds, seizure precautions, or vent/trach dependent, with a skills advancement program available that includes a 4-hour vent preface and 80 hours of hands-on training in the home with a nurse we deemed qualified to vent train.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
