Pediatric Private Duty RN – Night Shift (12-Hour Shifts)
Location: Whiticha Falls, TX
Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts
Position Type: Private Duty Nursing
BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a pediatric patient in the home setting. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and thrive in a private-duty environment.
Patient Overview
- 3-year-old pediatric patient
- History of traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Blind and non-verbal
- Receiving tube feedings (TF)
- Seizure precautions
- Aspiration precautions
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care during 12-hour overnight shifts
- Manage and monitor tube feedings
- Care for and maintain a Mickey Button (G-tube)
- Monitor for seizure activity and respond appropriately
- Implement aspiration precautions and ensure patient safety
- Complete accurate nursing documentation
- Communicate effectively with family members and the clinical team
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- Pediatric nursing experience required
- Experience with G-tubes/Mickey Buttons preferred
- Knowledge of seizure management and aspiration precautions
- Ability to lift and transfer up to 55 pounds
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
