    Physical Therapy Assistant provides skilled Physical Therapy services on an intermittent basis to clients in their homes, under the direction of the Registered Physical Therapist (PT).

    Responsibilities:

    • Patient Care: Provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

    • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and assistive device training.

    • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on techniques to improve functional skills and independence.

    • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions.

    • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    • Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control guidelines to protect both patients and healthcare workers.

    Requirements:

    • Certification: Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida.

    • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience hospital, skilled nursing facility, or rehab facility is required.

    • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

    • Professionalism: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to providing quality care.

    • Transportation: Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
