Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Weekly Hour Guarantee:40 hours

On‑Call/Weekend Requirements: Occasional weekend admissions

Mileage Reimbursement: Yes, reimbursed between visits, from first patient to last patient

Coverage Areas: 50 mile radius of Dothan, AL

Required License: Alabama Physical Therapy License

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Home Health team serving Dothan, AL. This role is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy, one‑on‑one patient care, and the opportunity to help patients regain mobility and independence in their home environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assess functional status and determine physical therapy needs; collaborate with the physician to develop the plan of care.
• Provide treatment within Alabama PT practice laws, following the plan of care and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.
• Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition to the supervising nurse and/or physician.
• Deliver interventions to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum mobility using accepted standards of practice.
• Educate patients, families, and care team members on the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress.
• Complete visits per the treatment plan, submit progress notes per policy, and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Complete evaluations and develop PT plans of care within state guidelines.
• Communicate evaluation results, goals, and projected frequency of care.
• Provide care in diverse home environments regardless of patient background or circumstances.

RequiredQualifications

• Current Physical Therapy Licensure in Alabama
• Valid Driver’s License, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
• CPR Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
