Position: Home Health Speech Language Pathologist

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, directing, and delivering speech and language pathology services to patients in their homes or facilities.
  • Contributing to the creation and regular review of the Treatment Plan and Care Plan.
  • Utilizing your professional expertise to evaluate and treat speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders, aiming to prevent, identify, assess, and mitigate the impact of these conditions.
  • Administering and interpreting diagnostic assessments and therapeutic interventions, including audiologic screenings.
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting any changes in the patient's condition and their response to treatment to your supervisor and/or the physician.
  • Providing guidance and training to patients on the use of alternative communication systems when necessary.
  • Offering advice and education to patients, their families, and healthcare personnel.
  • Maintaining and submitting required documentation as per organizational and facility standards, including written reports of evaluations, visits, care plans, and progress updates.
  • Engaging in care coordination and discharge planning activities.
  • Upholding the highest standards of professional conduct regarding confidential information, sharing it only when the recipient's right to access is clearly established and in the patient's best interest.
Make a Difference with Your Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six months of experience as a speech therapist or speech language pathologist.
  • A current and unrestricted professional license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and dependable transportation are mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Home Health settings.
Compensation Details

The pay range for this position is:

  • $54.00 - $76.00 per visit/unit.
  • $85,400 - $117,500 annually as base pay.
Additional Information

TB Statement: This position involves direct patient interaction and is part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will need to undergo TB screening.

Driving Statement: This role is included in our driver safety program, requiring a valid state driver's license and personal vehicle liability insurance. You must maintain vehicle insurance that meets or exceeds your state's minimum requirements, or at least $25,000 for bodily injury per person, $25,000 for bodily injury per event, and $10,000 for property damage, whichever is higher.

Scheduled Weekly Hours

1 hour per week.

Compensation Range

The salary range provided reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications.

$59,300 - $80,900 annually.
