    Position Overview:

As a Home Health Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized speech and language therapy services to our patients within their homes' familiar and supportive environment. You will work closely with patients to assess their communication and swallowing disorders, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic techniques to promote recovery, enhance communication skills, and improve overall quality of life.

We would make an excellent addition to your full-time job!

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, and swallowing disorders to determine therapy needs.
    2. Develop and implement individualized speech therapy treatment plans with the healthcare team.
    3. Provide hands-on speech therapy interventions to address communication and swallowing challenges.
    4. Educate patients and their families on speech and language exercises, techniques, and strategies to enhance communication and improve swallowing function.
    5. Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
    6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
    8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive and supportive therapeutic environment.

    Qualifications:

    1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
    2. Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    3. Prior experience in home health or a related setting is preferred, but not required.
    4. Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    6. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
