Position Summary

The Home Health Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily schedules for Home Health clinicians to ensure timely patient care, continuity of care, and optimal staff productivity. This role serves as the primary scheduling resource, triaging incoming calls, coordinating clinician assignments, and partnering with clinical leaders to resolve staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily schedules and patient visits using the electronic scheduling system.

  • Triage incoming calls and route clinical concerns to the appropriate clinician or supervisor.

  • Assign and reassign visits based on staffing, patient needs, and schedule changes.

  • Confirm admission visits with patients and caregivers.

  • Partner with clinical supervisors and Home Health Access to address staffing challenges.

  • Monitor clinician availability and support efficient scheduling across Home Health teams.

  • Arrange interpreter services as needed and provide exceptional customer service to clinicians and patients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a healthcare environment required.

  • 2+ years of customer service experience required.

  • Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, staffing coordination, home health, or case assignment preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new scheduling software.
