CTS

is

seeking

certified

staff

members

who

are

interested

in

serving

as

Home

Instructors

for

the

2026-2027

school

year.

Home

Instructors

provide

temporary

instruction

to

eligible

CTS

students

who

are

unable

to

attend

school

due

to

medical

or

other

approved

circumstances.

The

number

of

hours

will

be

based

on

Responsibilities:

Provide

home

instruction

to

assigned

students

in

accordance

with

district

procedures

and

state

requirements.

Coordinate

instructional

schedules

with

the

students

family

and

district

administration.

Maintain

communication

with

the

students

classroom

teacher(s)

to

ensure

continuity

of

instruction.

Document

student

attendance,

instructional

hours,

and

academic

progress

as

required.

Submit

all

required

documentation

in

a

timely

manner.

Selection

Process:

The

district

will

establish

a

Board-approved

Home

Instructor

List

for

the

2026-2027

school

year.

Staff

members

who

express

interest

and

meet

the

qualifications

will

be

recommended

to

the

Board

of

Education

for

approval.

As

home

instruction

assignments

arise

throughout

the

school

year,

opportunities

will

be

offered

to

staff

members

using

the

approved

list

in

a

rotating

order

to

provide

an

equitable

opportunity

for

participation.

Staff

members

may

accept

or

decline

an

assignment

without

affecting

their

eligibility

for

future

assignments.

If

a

staff

member

declines

an

assignment,

the

district

will

continue

to

the

next

person

on

the

list.

The

rotation

will

continue

throughout

the

school

year

to

ensure

assignments

are

distributed

as

fairly

as

possible

while

meeting

the

needs

of

students.

Qualifications:

Valid

New

Jersey

instructional

certificate.

Current

employee

of

Commercial

Township

School

District.

Valid

NJ

Standard,

CEAS,

or

CE

Teaching

Certificate

Criminal

History

check

Ability

to

work

flexible

hours

outside

of

the

regular

contracted

workday.

Ability

to

maintain

confidentiality

and

communicate

effectively

with

families

and

school

staff.

Approved

applicants

will

remain

on

the

Home

Instructor

List

for

the

duration

of

the

2026-2027

school

year

and

may

be

contacted

as

assignments

become

available.
