Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Handyman / Home Project Specialist to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives on helping others. You'll assist customers with small home projects, repairs, and installations while representing Marvin Home Center's high standards for quality and service. During slow times you will work at the store helping with sales, stock and inventory. Highlights of your role Perform small repair, installation, and maintenance jobs for customers, including: Drywall patching and repair. Window installation and adjustments. Finish carpentry, trim work, and custom wood projects. Shelving, cabinets, countertops, doors, window coverings, weatherstripping, and other handyman tasks. Provide on-site evaluations to recommend solutions and materials. Deliver excellent customer service both in-store and at job sites. Safely operate hand and power tools in compliance with company and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent. Load, transport, and unload materials for projects as needed. Collaborate with store staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet customer expectations. You''re a good fit if you have (or if you can) Proven handyman, maintenance, or construction experience. Required skills: drywall repair, window and door installation, and finish carpentry. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Comfortable working at various heights on ladders and in confined/small spaces when needed. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
