USC's School for Early Childhood Education is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality early childhood education services to children and their families in the South Los Angeles area. Founded in 1970 as a teaching school for future early-childhood professionals, the USC School for Early Childhood Education (USC SECE) seeks to promote school readiness, health/nutrition, mental wellness, and family engagement. Today, our licensed Head Start and Early Head Start centers serve more than 500 infants and pre-school children and their parents each year. We are seeking enthusiastic, creative, dynamic, and team-oriented individuals who enjoy working with children while fostering a supportive learning environment.
Job Overview:
This position provides high quality, comprehensive, early childhood education and family and health support services to ten to twelve families (15 children) through home visits and bimonthly socialization times. The Home Visitor, Early Head Start designs activities to support parents of infants and toddlers in promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth of their children in the home setting. They also facilitate group socialization activities for children and parents. This role requires individuals who can work independently and make sound decisions. Assure completion of all program requirements and while adhering to Head Start Performance Standards and program policies.

The hourly rate rate for this position is $24.02. Minimum Education: Bachelor''s degree In Early Childhood Development Or Social Work Or in related field(s)
Minimum Certifications: California Commission on Teacher Credentialing - Child Development Permit or higher OR Family Development Credential BLS/CPR Infant and Child First Aid/CPR certification
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Minimum Skills: Demonstrated written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with the internet and computer applications/software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Windows).
