POSITION TITLE: Homebound Tutors
REPORTS TO: Coordinator I - Special Education
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience or Training
Valid Professional Educators Teaching License with endorsements in: English, Mathematics, LBSI, Science and/or Social Studies
Desired Experience or Training
Previous Homebound Tutoring experience
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach prescribed academic coursework.
- Collaborate with colleagues regarding student assignments.
- Travel to students homes.
- Coordinate and collaborate with students and parents to schedule sessions
- Maintain accurate records
- Work 2-3 nights after school, approximately 2-3 hours per night
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to coordinate student assignments during time of absence.
- Ability to communicate with student's teachers about progress and/or assignment completion.
- Ability to communicate with home to schedule hours of tutoring.
- Progress monitor students work.
